API provider setup in VoiceCommand preferences

Setting up your API provider

Connect VoiceCommand to your preferred API provider in just a few simple steps. You can use OpenAI, Lemonfox.ai, or configure both and switch between them anytime.

  1. 1 Choose your provider. Decide whether you want to use OpenAI, Lemonfox.ai, or both. You can always switch providers or use different ones for transcription and Command Mode.
  2. 2 Create an account. Sign up on OpenAI's platform or Lemonfox.ai using the links above.
  3. 3 Set up billing. For OpenAI, add credits to your account (pay-as-you-go model). For Lemonfox.ai, choose a monthly subscription plan that fits your needs. Both providers handle billing directly—VoiceCommand never stores or processes your payment information.
  4. 4 Generate your API key. Once your account is set up and billing is configured, create an API key in your provider's dashboard. Keep this key secure—you'll need it to connect VoiceCommand.
  5. 5 Add your key to VoiceCommand. Open VoiceCommand preferences, navigate to the "API Providers" section, and paste your API key into the appropriate field. Click "Validate" to confirm everything is working correctly.
